Mother

She never gets,
What she deserves.
Even then,
A tear she never drops.

She is never,
Made feel special.
Even though,
She is the most valuable one.

You shout, you grumble,
Never does she shout back.
Listens to what you say,
Goes back and cries in her own little space.

Never have we wondered,
What she must be feeling,
When she is the one blamed,
For everything, even when it’s not her fault.

Not once she complains,
Never does she grumble.
Even though she is,
The most mistreated of all.

Never do we realise,
How precious she is.
Can you even imagine,
A life without her?

Gave you birth,
Brought you up so well.
Never got what she should have,
Yet gave it to us all that she could.
She has never asked for anything,
But did you think what she should get?

Give her everything,
She deserves more than that
Never to her will we be able to,
Pay back for what she gave us.

But just show her you love here,
And you care about her,
She’ll take that,
So happily.

And believe me,
It will be the best day of your life

When you will see your mother smiling,
Because of something you did.

Hello there! I'm Paaras! So I started doing poetry a few years ago and now I wanted to see what others think about them. I feel poetry is the best way to express thoughts and expressions. What a story can't do i feel a poem can do!
