Strange Land

A landing so comfortable,

An inner excitement.

A want to explore,

Different things in the city.

A new place,

Never visited before.

Slowly come out of the plane,

After getting a bird’s view from the sky.

A restlessness within,

Waiting to get out to the open.

Waiting to see everything,

The buildings, restaurants and museums.

The first impression of the buildings,

Then the want to taste the food.

Sightseeing you wanna do,

Even if for a day there you are.

Deep within,

A want to go everywhere,

But first in my mind,

The food comes.

A taste of the culture,

Living style of people there.

A taste of their traditions,

A adventurous tasting.

Then the buildings,

Standing tall upright.

Some tiny ones,

And the top of some you can’t see.

Every time I visit,

A new place.

So many things I wanna do,

The most exciting and the tenth are the same.

Hello there! I'm Paaras! So I started doing poetry a few years ago and now I wanted to see what others think about them. I feel poetry is the best way to express thoughts and expressions. What a story can't do i feel a poem can do!
