A mentor,

To choose,

My sister,

It would be.

Always held me,

Helped me walk.

Even today,

In the times of failure.

She helps me stand up.

Because even today I slip and fall.

And she is still teaching me,

How to stand up.

I am old,

But not yet old enough,

To walk alone.

I dont think I’ll ever be,

Capable to walk alone,

Without your help.

Because the more I realise,

And I understand,

That more there is to learn from you.

You will always be a step ahead,

And will always be a guiding light.

There’s always more to learn,

Than I think there is.

Mentor me even today,

I will always need you.

Help me walk,

I haven’t reached there yet.

By there I mean,

Is where I have learnt all you have.

It’s that place I will never be able to reach

Hello there! I'm Paaras! So I started doing poetry a few years ago and now I wanted to see what others think about them. I feel poetry is the best way to express thoughts and expressions. What a story can't do i feel a poem can do!
